ShinyThinks.com was concepted as a place to show off the latest and greatest projects that Miranda and I have been working on. After posting to other project sites or social media, we decided it would be great to have a single place to put our work. Additionally for me, building the site itself has been a great way to learn a new web framework (django).

Joshua - I've been working and hobbying in the electronics and computer space for as long as I can remember. These days I'm working as an all around IT guy and web dev.
Miranda -I am a maker and hobbyist, as well as a professional Joshua-botherer. I like things, and am often too impatient to wait for someone else to create them, which is the starting point of many of my projects. This usually involves me taking over the living room with my latest endeavor and swearing at inanimate objects until Joshua cannot help but peek and that is when I sucker him in. Next thing you know we haven’t left the apartment for three weeks, but a new project has been born. I also enjoy writing and talking for hours about whatever latest thing that I have found fascinating.
